KINGS POINT, NY - The Old Dominion University co-ed dinghy sailing team sealed a spot in the Atlantic Coast Championships amid tough weather at the War Memorial Regatta last weekend. The weather was rough in New York this weekend. Both divisions were only able to compete in three heats. Winds were a steady 25-30 knots with gusts over 40 on both days. The weather both delayed much of the regatta and eventually led to its early ending.

In the three races the A division was able to run, Noonan's boat totaled 9 points with 3rd, 2nd, and 4th place finishes. The B division team never finished out of the Top 10 in the three heats it completed.

The Atlantic Coast Championship will be held November 11 & 12.
