ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The #8 Lady Monarchs held onto third place at the MAISA Fall Women's Regatta this weekend and earned a bid to the Atlantic Coast Championships next weekend. Sophomore Stephanie Roble and senior Jaclyn Finney sailed to a win in A division with 31 points, while sophomore Morgan Wilson and senior Alissa Ayres grabbed fourth in B division with 51 points.

The fleet managed to complete eight races on the second day, in which Steph Roble and Jaci Finney grabbed two more wins and three second place finishes. The pair finished nine points ahead of Georgetown for the win in A division.

In B division, Wilson and Ayres finished no lower than fifth on the second day in the eight completed races, and finished with two second place efforts. The consistent regatta earned the tandem a fourth place finish in B division with 51 total points.

As a team, ODU finished with 82 points for third place, just one point back of Georgetown for second and just five back of St. Mary's for the win. The three will meet again, along with five more qualifiers from this event, next weekend at the Atlantic Coast Championships.
