CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The 15th ranked Monarchs of Old Dominion took second place at the fall season-concluding SAISA/MAISA regatta this weekend, led by a quartet of freshmen. ODU rookies Drew Hall and Kyle Hansen paired for a second place finish in A division while Miles Martschink and Jessica Milligan finished fourth in B division.

Hall and Hansen posted a 40-point regatta in the ten completed races, good for second in A division. The pair finished lower than sixth just once, with an eighth place effort and won one race during the event. The 40 points was just three back of the host and winning team, College of Charleston.

Martschink and Milligan had arguably the better regatta, but finished 4th among tighter competition in B division. The pair of freshmen finished with 44 points

As a team, ODU finished just 16 points out for the win, as Charleston won the event with 68 total points and ODU posted a 84-point event.
