NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion University sailing team gets into full swing in their spring season this weekend with four events, including the ODU Open in Norfolk.

With their new branded sails arriving this week, the ODU fleet will have a new look as they host the ODU Open in Norfolk. In addition, Old Dominion will travel to the Georgetown Team Race in Washington, D.C. and the Graham Hall Team Race in Annapolis, Md. while the Lady Monarchs head to the Charleston Women's race in Charleston, S.C.

In their only official event of the spring so far at the Charleston Spring Invitational, out of 18 teams, ODU took seventh at 141 points with the A-team finishing in fifth and the B-team taking 10th. Host College of Charleston won the event with a score of 58.

For ODU in the A-Division race, senior skipper Zachary Runci and sophomore crew Colin Voigt took fifth with a score of 61 while junior skipper Corina Radtke along with senior crew Shannon Wilkins and sophomore crew Jaclyn Hollander took 10th with a score of 80 in the B-Division race.
