Norfolk, VA -- The Old Dominion University will play host to some of the best sailing teams in the country this weekend, when they host the MAISA Team Race at the ODU Sailing Center. St. Mary's College (MD), Navy, Hobart-William Smith, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and Old Dominion will be participating.

Racing will begin around 9:45 on Saturday and Sunday and continue throughout the day. Each school will sail each other in a triple round-robin, three-on-three format. The top-two finishing schools will advance to the Intercollegiate Sailing Association-Ronstan Team Race North American Championship in Boston on June 3-5.

Old Dominion, St. Mary's, Navy and Hobart-William Smith are all nationally ranked. ODU's coed team is ranked sixth and the women are seventh according to the latest Sailing World rankings.
