NORFOLK, VA -The Old Dominion University sailing teams will stay close to home this weekend as they return to action for two local regattas. Both regattas will take place Saturday and Sunday.

The Monarchs will host the MAISA Women's Open at the ODU Sailing Center. Then Open is a qualifier for the ICSA Women's championship, held May 26-28, at Cascade Locks, OR. Sailing for ODU in A division will be Anna Tunnicliffe (Perrysburg, OH) and Christabelle Fernandez (Virginia Beach, VA), while Maureen Castruccio (Pleasanton, CA), Cara Gibbons-Neff (Annapolis, MD) and Cara DiSanti (Seacliff, NY) will sail in B division.

Also on the schedule this weekend is the CNU Open, held on the waters off Christopher Newport University. Shane Vanstrom (Youngstown, NY) and Wade Schon (Millington, NJ) will sail Saturday for the Monarchs, while Stefanie Dyer (Virginia Beach, VA) will replace one on Sunday in A division. In B division, Ben Pongratz (Newport News, VA) and Federico de la Puente Gomez (Spain) will sail for ODU.
