NORFOLK, VA--The Old Dominion sailing squad will begin its national championship quest for two more possible titles Wednesday, June 1-3 in the ICSA (Intercollegiate Sailing Association ) North American Women's Championships, then June 8-10 with the ICSA North American Co-Ed Dinghy Championships in, (University of Texas, Austin Yacht CLub) Austin, TX. ODU added its 15th national title last November when senior Anna Tunnicliffe captured her third straight ICSA North American Singlehanded crown.

Sailing for ODU in the women's team championships will be: Anna Tunnicliffe (Perrysburg, OH.) and Emily Bartlett (Annapolis, MD.) in the A Divison while Maureen Castruccio (Pleasanton, CA.) and Jennifer Adams will sail in the B Division with Cara DiSanti (Seacliff, NY) as an alternate. The team qualified after a fourth place finish in the MAISA district championships on April 24th as Tunnicliffe and Bartlett placed second In the A Division.

Sailing for ODU in the Dinghy championships will be Anna Tunnicliffe, Emily Bartlett, and Michael Smith (Newport News, VA.) in the A Division, while Bill Berg (Longwood, FL.), Jennifer Adams and Ryan Kozoriz (Yorktow, VA.) will be in the B Division. The Monarchs qualified for this event with a third place finish in the America Trophy back on May 1st.

ODU last won the women's title in 2002 in Honolulu, HI., while 1998 in New Orleans, LA., was the last Co-Ed Dinghy National title.
