NORFOLK, Va. – The No. 12 Old Dominion University coed sailing team will head to Providence, R.I. for the Hoyt Trophy race and to Kings Point, N.Y. for the KP Dinghy Open and then MAISA Match Race Championships this weekend.

Last weekend, the ODU coed sailing team took ninth place at the Captain Hurst Bowl in Hanover, N.H. to highlight their three weekend events. The Monarchs finished ninth out of 22 teams, as freshman skipper Esteban Forrer and junior crew Julia Wiesner took 13th in the A-Division. The B-Division tandem of junior skipper Evan Hoffmann and junior crew Jill Fattibene took fourth.

At the Navy Fall Intersectional in Annapolis, Md., ODU took 13th. The A-Division tandem of senior skipper Dillon Paiva and junior crew Chloe Constants and freshman crew Cooper Paiva finished in 10th. In the B-Division race, senior skipper Zachary Runci and sophomore skipper Daniel Lochner split time to go alongside freshman crew Grace Mason as they finished 15th with. In the C-Division single race, senior Collin Leon took 12th while freshman Joe David took 14th in the D-Division single race.

In the Yale Women's Intersectional race, the No. 13 Lady Monarchs finished 14th. In the A-Division race, ODU finished in 17th. In the B-Division race, the Lady Monarchs placed 11th.
