NORFOLK, VA - The Old Dominion Sailing team travels to the College of Charleston this weekend to participate in the final regatta of the 2005 fall season. Charleston hosts the MAISA/SAISA Fall Intersectional Saturday November 19.

Michael Brown and Bobby Shultz are scheduled to compete for A division in the event with Michael Smith on standby to crew for Brown if the conditions become windy and more weight is needed in the boat. Gillen Elder and Lisa Shapiro will be the B division contenders for the sailing Monarchs.

ODU Sailing in currently ranked 18th in the Sailing World college top 20 for coed, determined by Sailing World's college coaches' panel. For more info on the rankings please visit: www.collegesailing.org.

The Sailing Monarchs open their Spring 2006 season February 12, as they head back to Charleston for the Women's Double handed event.
