Day 2 Recap:

NORFOLK, Va. -
In day two of the 2013 CAA Championships in Fairfax, Va., Old Dominion set three more school records, had another two swimmers post NCAA "B" cut times and collected three different medals on the podium.

Sidni Hoxha defended his crown in the 50 free competition with a time of 19.78. Earlier in the day at the 50 free preliminaries, Hoxha set a new school record and was a mere .01 of a second away from setting the all-time conference record. Both of Hoxha's preliminary and finals were fast enough to place him within the NCAA "B" cut.

Kimberley Rashleigh placed second in the finals of the 200 IM with a time 2:00.79. In the preliminaries, Rashleigh swam even faster (1:59.96) and set the school record. Both of Rashleigh's preliminary and final's times were quick enough to make the NCAA "B" cut.

In the men's 500 free finals, Bernardo Figueredo finished in 4:26.93 and earned himself a silver medal. Figueredo's time was tenths of a second slower than the school's all-time record, held by none other than Figueredo himself. Jason Brame swam his season best in the 500 free on Thursday night, finishing the event in 4:31.33 and placing seventh.

Yesim Giresunlu placed fifth and set a new school record in the 500 free finals with a time 4:52.27, a fingertip faster than her old school record (4:52.92).

The 200 free relay team consisting of Sidni Hoxha, Andrew Crockett, Ben Hansen and Vitor Sa placed fourth with a time of 1:21.15.

Mitchell Ortiz set his own personal record in the one-meter diving competition with a score of 273.85, which was good enough to finish in fifth place.

Carter Watson placed fourth and finished the 200 IM consolation finals in 1:52.01.
