NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion University men’s and women’s swimming/diving teams will be back in action against the Retrievers of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) on Jan. 12 at 1 p.m. in the UMBC Aquatics Complex in Baltimore, Md.
This will be the first competition for Old Dominion since Dec. 1, 2012. On that date, the men cruised to a 198-84 victory against George Washington; while the women beat G.W. 144-109 but lost to Rutgers 170-120. UMBC also competed against G.W., as their men won 148-99 and women won 138-119 back in October.
The Monarchs are 3-1 in meets so far this season; while the Lady Monarchs are 5-2. The UMBC men are currently undefeated with a 4-0 record; while the UMBC women are 3-2 in their meets.
After this UMBC meet, Old Dominion will only have three competitions against Campbell, East Carolina and William & Mary before the Colonial Athletic Association Championships start on Feb. 27 in Fairfax, Va.
