NORFOLK, VA--The ODU baseball Monarchs return home to host the Owls of Temple in a three-game series at the Bud Metheny Baseball Complex. Friday's first pitch will be at 3 p.m.,Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday will start at 1 p.m.

Temple is 2-3 thus far this season, and led by Nick Lustrino with a .529 batting average and four runs RBI. Henry Knabe is second at .438 with five runs batted in.

The Owls will throw lefthander Dan Moeller on Friday, righthander Matt Hockenberry on Saturday and lefthander Patrick Peterson on Sunday.

Fresh off its 11-5 win at VMI, the Monarchs are led in hitting by Austin McGowan at .467 with three doubles and five runs scored. Freshman Connor Myers is hitting .368, followed by Josh Eldridge at .320 along with a team best eight hits and six RBI, followed by Mike Perez also with six RBI.

The probable Monarch rotation will be Dean Ali on Friday, lefthander Ryan Yarbrough on Saturday and Lefthander Andy Roberts on Sunday.

Thus far Brad Gero has pitched six innings without allowing a run, while Dean Ali has a 1.00 ERA with 12 strikeouts in 9 innings of work. Ryan Yarbrough is 1-0 with a 2.31 ERA and nine strikeouts in 11.2 innings of work.
