NORFOLK, VA--The Old Dominion-Delaware CAA baseball game scheduled for Saturday evening was stopped and suspended after one inning with no score due to the heavy rain and thunderstorm that came through the Hampton Roads area.

After a weather related delay, the game started at 6:03 p.m. and was halted at 6:21 p.m. Delaware started Brent Gaphardt, while ODU started Kyle Dubois. The only baserunner was Eric Mesa of ODU who doubled with two outs in the first. After about an hour's rain delay, the game was officially suspended.

The suspended game will be picked up at the start of the second inning Sunday at 1 p.m. After the completion of that game, the regularly scheduled game will be played.
