NORFOLK, VA--The ODU Monarchs host Richmond in the home finale Tuesday at 5 p.m. The game with Delaware State has been cancelled. ODU will then complete the regular season with a three-game Colonial Athletic Association series at 29th ranked UNC Wilmington beginning Thursday.

Senior Jimmy Miles continues to lead the Monarchs in hitting at .372, stolen bases at 37 and runs scored with 54. Bryan Cipolla is hitting .344 with a team best 49 RBI, while shortstop Gerard Hall is hitting .340 and Anthony Shawler is at .337 with seven homers and 39 RBI. Designated hitter David Burns leads the squad in homers with 11 and is second in RBI with 41. As a team, ODU is hitting .301.

On the mound, Ryan Bergh leads the team with a 3.28 earned run average and five complete games. Dan Hudson leads the CAA in strikeouts with 95 in 77 innings of work, followed by Anthony Shawler with 91 strikeouts in 70.2 innings of work.

The Spiders of Richmond, who defeated ODU, 14-9 back on March 19 are led in hitting by Hank Coogan at .366 with 16 doubles and 38 RBI. Billy Barber leads the team with 13 homers and 45 RBI.
