NORFOLK, VA. - Old Dominion University athletic director Jim Jarrett announced today that the contract of Tony Guzzo, head baseball coach, will not be renewed.

"I want to thank Tony for his contributions and tireless efforts on behalf of Old Dominion University's baseball program and wish him the best luck in his future endeavors." (said Jarrett).

Guzzo compiled a 300-252 record at ODU in ten seasons. His overall 26-year mark is 731-618-2. Through ten seasons, Guzzo guided the Monarchs to two CAA Championships in 1995 & 1996, and three NCAA Regional appearances in 1995, 1996 and 2000. The Monarchs completed the 2004 season with a 26-28 record.

Old Dominion will begin a national search for Guzzo's replacement immediately.
