NORFOLK, VA-- Sophomore first baseman Bryan Cipolla (Plainview, NY.) has been named honorable mention All-State by the Virginia Sports Information Director's Association.

Cipolla hit .332 with eight homer runs and 67 runs batted in. He ranked third in the CAA in RBI and fifth in doubles with 19. Cipolla was also selected team MVP.

The 67 runs batted in is the fifth highest single season total in ODU history. Ryan Zimmerman of Virginia was named Player of the year while Brian O'Connor of Virginia was named Coach of the Year.
