GREAT FALLS, MT--Righthander pitcher Dan Hudson ('08) matched a career high 12 strikeouts to lead Great Falls Voyagers to an 8-5 victory in game three of the Pioneer League Championship Series to Capture their first title since 2002. ODU and Great Falls teammate Dexter Carter ('08) won Game one of the Championships and earned All-Star Honors.

"It was definitely a team effort to get this far, "Hudson said. "I put it in my mind that if we Were going to get into the playoffs we were going to need a strong pitching performance." Hudson was 5-4 with a 3.36 ERA in 14 regular season starts. He won his last four outings, including an 8-3 victory over Billings last week. In the opening-round clincher. "We couldn't have asked for a better performance", said manager Chris Cron. " Hudson was Our ace in the hole." Hudson was a two-time All-CAA selection at ODU.

Dexter Carter won game one for Great Falls, 4-3. Carter fanned nine in Five innings. Carter was named to the Pioneer League All-Star team. He compiled a 6-1 Record with a 2.23 ERA. Carter fanned a league best 89 batters in just 68.2 innings of work. He allowed just 44 hits and just 25 walks.
