RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Robert Battle scored 11 of his game-high 18 points in the final 7:20 Saturday night to lead Drexel past Old Dominion 61-52 in a Colonial Athletic Association quarterfinal.

The Monarchs had slashed a 14-point halftime deficit to 45-40 on two Ricardo Marsh free throws with 7:31 remaining. Battle hit a field goal 11 seconds later and a three-point play with 5:28 remaining to give Drexel (18-10) a 50-43 lead.

Old Dominion (12-15) cut it to 3 when Kiah Thomas' 3-pointer made it 55-52 with 56.5 seconds left. Phil Goss nailed a 3-pointer with 27.9 seconds remaining to stretch the lead to 58-52 as the Monarchs were held scoreless the rest of the way.

Drexel will face Virginia Commonwealth in a semifinal game Sunday.

Freshman Kendell Sanchez added 11 points and a career-high 14 rebounds for the Dragons.

Rasheed Wright led the Monarchs with 16 points and Marsh added 10.
