The Old Dominion men's basketball team was defeated by the EA Sports team 83-78 in exhibition action at the Ted Constant Convocation Center Monday night.

ODU forward Rasheed Wright (Greensboro, NC) just missed a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds. Old Dominion fought back from a 44-39 halftime deficit to lead by as many as five points with 10 minutes left in the game but couldn't hold the advantage.

Fred Vinson led all scorers with 28 while Bennett Davidson added 19 for the EA squad. They were out rebounded by the Monarchs 48-28, but committed three less turnovers, 20 to ODU's 23.

Ricardo Marsh (Mebane, NC) totaled 17 points and Kiah Thomas (Norfolk,VA) pitched in 14 for ODU while Troy Nance (Va. Beach, VA) dished out six assists.

The Monarchs will be back at the Constant Center next Friday the 15th as they take on Global Sports at 7:00 p.m. in their last exhibition contest.
