SERIES VS.JMU ODU leads, 55-24. ODU has won eight in a row and 10 of the last 11 meetings since 2007-08. The Dukes last win over ODU was 70-62 in 2008-09 here in the Constant Center. ODU has not lost in Harrisonburg since 2006-07.
NOTE: All nine Monarchs who have played thus far have started atleast three games and eight hae started atleast five games with junior Donte Hill being the only Monarch who has started all 13 games this season. LAST GAME Fairfield (9-5) rallied to a 55-54 come-from-behind win over the Monarchs of Old Dominion Saturday. ODU would only score four points in the final eight minutes. ODU took a 10 point lead, 50-40 with 8:23 left in the game thanks to a 16-8 run , but the Stags finished the game with a 15-4 run of its own to pull out the win. With 1:12 left Maurice barrow's layup gave the Stags a 55-52 lead. ODU cut it to one on a DeShawn Painter basket, but the Monarchs were unable to steal the inbound pass as time ran out. Painter led ODU with 16 points, 11 rebounds and career high four blocked shots, followed by Richard Ross's 15 points, and five rebounds. Fairfield was led by Amadou Sidibe with 10 points while Marcus Gilbert scored eight and hauled down 10 rebounds. ODU outrebounded Fairfield, 35-26, but committed 15 turnovers. Blaine Taylor.
