NORFOLK, Va. (AP) (Jan. 3) - Pierre Greene scored 18 points, including four in the last 32 seconds, to lead Old Dominion past George Washington 82-75.

Old Dominion (5-8) led 59-45 with 11:00 remaining, but George Washington (5-7) used a 29-13 run to pull ahead 74-72 with 1:39 to go.

The Monarchs went ahead on a layup and free throw by Lavar Hemphill and then finished the game on a 7-1 run, including four free throws by Greene.

Hemphill finished with 16 points and Andre McCullum and Skipper Youngblood each had 10. McCullum had 10 rebounds.

SirValiant Brown led George Washington with 23 points. Bernard Barrow had 14 points and nine assists and Valery Khamenia scored 13.

The Monarchs outrebounded the Colonials 47-34.
