RICHMOND, Va. (AP) (February 23, 2000) -- Andre McCullum led the Monarchs with 16 points and 12 rebounds and Clifton Jones added 13 points, but it wasn't enough as Richmond defeated Old Dominion, 56-55 on Feb. 23.

Greg Stevenson's jumper with 18.6 seconds left lifted Richmond to the victory.

The Spiders (16-10, 11-4 Colonial Athletic Association) were held scoreless over five minutes and 13 seconds of the second half as the Monarchs rolled to a 50-42 lead.

But Richmond then rallied to take a 54-53 lead with 2:53 remaining on Scott Ungerer's layup on a pass from Stevenson.

The Monarchs (11-18, 6-10) missed two shots in the final 10 seconds before Ungerer rebounded and the Spiders ran out the clock.

Andre McCullum led the Monarchs with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Clifton Jones came off the bench to add 13 points.

Stevenson and Reggie Brown each had 15 points for the Spiders.
