Loughton led the Monarchs to a 28-6 record, the most wins in school history. He averaged 14.1 points per game, shot .503 from the floor and .779 from the free throw line. He had 13 double-doubles this year, including 28 points and 11 rebounds against VCU in the CAA finals and 22 points and 11 rebounds against fifth seed Michigan State in the NCAA tournament.
