NORFOLK, Va. (AP) (Jan. 3) - Pierre Greene scored 19 points to lead Old Dominion past James Madison, 80-63, on Wednesday (Jan. 3).

The Monarchs (5-9) set a team record by shooting 96 percent from the free throw line, sinking 26 of 27 attempted shots. James Madison (5-8) sank 40 percent of its free throws.

``We were very aggressive on the defensive end tonight,'' ODU coach Jeff Capel said.

Pat Mitchell led James Madison with 15 points. Tim Lyle added 12 and Dwayne Braxton contributed 11 points.

Rasheed Wright scored 15 points for Old Dominion. Clifton Jones tied his personal record with 15 rebounds.

The Monarchs went on a 12-point run to close the first half, and James Madison never caught up.
