Played offensive guard at Hickory High School for Jupiter Wilson and Tim Sitterson...Two-time All-Tidewater and All-Southeastern District as a junior and senior in 2010 and 2011...Second Team All-Eastern District as a senior in 2011...Named First Team All-State by VA Preps and First Team All-757 by Recruit 757.com in 2011...As a junior in 2010 was named First Team All-757 Junior Offensive Line and Second Team Offensive Line by Recruit 757.com...Selected to Hickory's Ironhawk (combine) club in 2009, 2010, & 2011...Named Most Valuable Offensive Lineman at the National Underclassman Combine as a junior in 2010...Captained the Hawks as a senior in 2011 and selected as Hickory's Offensive Player of the Year...Named Hickory's Offensive Lineman of the Year as a junior and senior in 2010 and 2011...Also ran two seasons of track & field...
