"I am happy that we were able to finalize the arrangements to add Old Dominion University to our football schedule. I think that these football games will create a great deal of excitement for the student-athletes, coaches, fans and the entire community. "This series could develop into one of the most exciting and competitive in all of college football. Our fans, especially the ones who remember the basketball games between the two schools in years past, are looking forward to the same drama and excitement that filled the arena during each of those games."
NSU Head Football Coach Pete Adrian:"This is great for both universities and the city of Norfolk. It should be a fun, friendly, but heated rivalry that everyone involved will anticipate each year."
