JACKSONVILLE, FL.-- The ODU Monarchs placed eighth at the Seabest Invitational after shooting 304-306-310 for a three-round total of 920. Junior, John Dawson (Chesapeake, VA.) tied for 28th (76-75-78=229), sophomore Jamison Randall (Cumberland, RI.) finished 31st (77-76-77=230), and senior Garth McGee (bangor, Northern Ireland. tied for 34th (73-80-78=231).

The University of Tennessee won the event by four strokes (300-279-300=879) over Texas A&M (289-296-298=883).

Individually, Rick Lamb of Tennessee won the medal title with a 211, six strokes better than Greg Yates of Texas A&M. ODU returns to action on March 10 at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate.
