WILMINGTON, DE--ODU freshman Jamison Randall (Cumberland, RI.) and junior Tom Wilde (Bucks, England) shot 75 in the first round to lead the Monarch golfers to fifth place, just seven strokes off the lead at the CAA Championships in Wilmington, DE.

Georgia State leads with a 300, followed by UNCW at 301, VCU at 305, JMU at 306 and the Monarchs at 307 with George Mason sixth at 308.

Both Randall and Wilde are in seventh and only five strokes back of first round leader Marc Dobias of VCU who shot 70 today. He leads Damon Stephenson of Georgia State by one stroke. Randall had two birdies and 11 pars on the day, while Wilde had three birdies and 10 Pars.Fellow Monarchs Garth McGee (Bangor, Northern Ireland) shot 78 and John Dawson (Chesapeake, Va.) a 79.
