COLLEGE PARK, MD-- ODU junior Sam Wall (Grays, Essey, England) shot a 74 in the first round of the Univeristy Of Maryland Tournament and is tied for 33rd. This is the season opener for the Monarchs.

Seth Norman (Virginia Beach) and Tom Wilde (Berkshire, England) are tied for 45th after shooting 75's.

As a team, ODU is tied for 12th at 300. The University of North Carolina leads the event after shooting 280. Henry Zaytoun of UNC leads the tournament at 66.

Wall who played at Brevard Community College in Florida last year, shot 39 in the front nine, then 35 in the back for a 74. Both Norman and Wilde shot 35 on the front and 40 on the back.
