DULUTH, GA-- ODU's John Dawson fired 71 in the final round today to finish with a 54-hole score of 227 and 40th place at the Autotrader.com Collegiate Classic. As a team, ODU finished at 928 for 16th place.

Dawson's scores for the tournament were 81-75-71=227 to tie for 40th. Dykes Harbin of the University of South Carolina won the individual title at 66-72-72=210 by two strokes over Steven Fox of Chattanooga.

Georgia Southern (859) captured the team title by seven strokes over host Georgia State (866).

The Monarchs Jamison Randall shot 75 in the final round today to finish at 233, followed by freshman Ashton Newsom who shot 76 today to finish at 234. Thomas Wilde finished at 241 after also shooting a 76.

The Monarchs return to action on Sunday at the ODU/Outerbanks Collegiate at the Kilmarlic Golf Course in Powells Point, NC.
