NORFOLK-- Former ODU golfing standout Estanisiao Stan Guerrero (Tijuana, Mexico '08) has qualified for this weekend's Farmers Insurance Open which begins play Thursday, at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, CA.

He qualified for the PGA event by sharing medalist honors with Aron Price at the El Camino Country Club with a round of 6-under par 66 Monday.

Guerrero, a two-time All-CAA golfer was the 2008 ODU Alumni Association's Male Athlete of the Year.In 2007, he helped lead the Monarchs to the CAA title and an NCAA regional berth. Guerrero tied for sixth that season in the CAA Championships, and completed the year with a 72.7 stroke average.

He posted a 73.4 stroke average as a senior with three top five finishes.
