RICHMOND, Va. (March 17, 2010) - The Colonial Athletic Association has recognized Old Dominion University senior Eric Onesi (Bear, DE.)for his outstanding play last week.

Old Dominion senior Eric Onesi was awarded CAA Men's Golfer of the Week for the week ending March 17. The senior posted back-to-back third place finishes at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate and the Palmas Del Mar Intercollegiate. Onesi finished two strokes behind co-champions at the Palmas Del Mar event with a score of 74-70-69=213 for a third place finish. He then fired a final round of 67 to go along with rounds of 76-75 to finish in third with a score of 218 at Pinehurst.

The senior finished with five birdies on the back nine to come within five shots of the tournament champion.

Onesi was named Golfer of the Week twice in the Fall Season. Also earning league honors were Alex castro of Georgi State for the week ending March 3 and teammate Alan Fowler for the week ending march 10.
