RICHMOND, VA-- ODU junior golfer Jeffrey Long (Centreville VA.) has been named CAA Men's Golfer of the Week after a strong perforance at the Wyoming Cowboy Clasic.

Long shot a 71 in the opening round of the Cowboy Classic and a 72 in the second round. The junior then shot his best round of the tournament with a 67 in the final round.

His score of 210 was Long's lowest of the season for 54 holes and ODU's top performance for the Spring. He finished the tournament tied for 19th and helped the Monarchs to a 14th place finish as a team.

Long currently is tied with teammate Stan Guerrero for fifth spot in the CAA with a 73.3 stroke average.
