ROANOKE, VA-- ODU men's golf signees for the upcoming 2010-11 season Tim Ritter (Chantilly, VA.), Preston Leigh (Suffolk, Va.) and John Dawson (Chesapeake, Va.) finished in the top 21 of the 58th VSGA Junior Amateur Championships held at the Roanoke Country Club.

Ritter finished tied for 12th with Blake Carter and Wesley Liu. The Westfield High standout shot 70-74-73 for a 54-hole score of 217. He was plus two today and plus four for the tournament.

Preston Leigh from Greenbrier Christian and son of ODU's first golf All-American J.P. Leigh, III finished with a 219 for 17th. He shot 72-73-74 for the tournament as he had two birdies on the back-nine to finish plus six for the event.

John Dawson from nearby Hickory High School in Chesapeake tied for 21st with his tournament best 72 today. He was 73-75-72 for 220 and had three biries on the day to finish plus seven for the event.

Jake Mondy from Blacksburg, Va. won the medalist title with a 202, five strokes better the runner-up Jack Adkins.
