CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA--St. John's (2-0) defeated the ODU Soccer Monarchs (0-2), 2-0 Sunday in the second round of the UVA Soccer Classic. Nelson Becerra and Adam Himeno scored for the Red Storm.

St. John's, who defeated Virginia on Friday, outshot ODU,11-3. Becerra scored 20 minutes into the match on an assist from Ale Ivo. The second goal came with about 18 minutes left in the match from Adam Himeno.

Trevor Banks (Madison, SI.) and Adrian LeRoy (Ottawa, Canada) had shots for the Monarchs, while Tommy Webb(Auckland, New Zealand) had ODU's lone shot on goal. ODU returns to action next Friday when they play Elon in the UNC Greensboro Tournament.
