NORFOLK, VA--The ODU Soccer Monarchs (6-1) jumped to No. 19 in this week's NSCAA Coaches poll, and freshman forward Yannick Smith was named CAA Rookie of the Week

Smith assisted on Old Dominion's first two goals to help lead the Monarchs to a 3-0 CAA win over Delaware last Friday. Smith is tied for the team lead with four assists, and ranks third in the CAA With fellow ODU freshman Shane Howard who was the CAA Rookie of the Week two weeks ago.

In garnering 144 points, ODU returns to the top twenty for the first time since Dec. 19th of 2007. In the region, ODU ranks third behind Maryland and Virginia. ODU also ranks 25th by Soccer America and 28th by College Soccer News.

The Monarchs, winners of four straight host UNC Wilmington Saturday night at 7 p.m.
