NORFOLK, VA - The Old Dominion University (4-3-1) soccer Monarchs return to CAA action Saturday as they travel to Wilmington, NC to take on the UNC Wilmington Seahawks (4-5) at 7:00 p.m. ODU leads the all-time series 16-4, including a 3-0 Monarch victory last year in Wilmington.

The Monarchs are led by sophomore forward T.J. Beaulieu (Apex, NC) with 11 points on four goals and three assists this season. Junior forward Steffen Rabben (Fagernes, Valdres, Norway) has also scored four goals for ODU. Sophomore Brennan Kirkpatrick has played five matches in goal with a 0.38 goals against average and three shutouts, while freshman keeper Michael Roura (Middletown, NJ.) pitched a shutout in the Monarchs last outing against Delaware.

Last Friday, the Monarchs defeated Delaware 4-0 in their CAA opener on the road. Trevor Banks (Madison, WI), Dylan Montambo (Chesapeake, VA), Steffen Rabben (Valdres, Norway), and Roberto Squeglia (Schenectady, NY) each scored a goal for the Monarchs.

UNC Wilmington is coming off a 4-3 overtime victory at Drexel last Saturday to start their CAA slate. Sophomore midfielder Daniel Roberts leads the Seahawks with eight points on three goals and a pair of assists. Junior forward Devan Carroll is tied for the club lead, with Roberts, with three goals this season. Roberts was named CAA Men's Soccer Co-Player of the week for his performance (2 goals, 1 assist) at Drexel last weekend.

ODU returns to action Wednesday, October 8th as they host CAA rival William & Mary at 7:00 p.m at the ODU Soccer Complex.
