NORFOLK, VA. (Oct. 11) - The Old Dominion men's soccer team used a first-half goal from freshman Attila Vendegh (Bratislava, Slovakia) to defeat CAA rival William & Mary, 1-0, on Oct. 11. With the win, Old Dominion improves to 6-4-1 overall, 4-0 CAA. The Tribe falls to 4-5-2, 1-1-1 CAA.

Old Dominion outshot the Tribe 8-5, but gave up a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks. Monarch goalie Sam Cameron (Raleigh, NC) collected three saves while posting his third shutout in five games.

The Monarchs will return to action on Saturday, when they travel to American for another conference match-up. Old Dominion's next home game will be on Wednesday, October 18, when they host Mount St. Mary's.
