Richmond, Va. - In a battle of Colonial Athletic Association ranked opponents, No. 21 VCU defeated No. 39 Old Dominion 4-1 Wednesday afternoon to mark the 18th time in the last 20 meetings that the Rams have topped the Monarchs (13-5, 1-2 CAA).

The Rams won all three doubles matches to secure the doubles point, and followed to win three of the four singles matches that were completed. Old Dominion's only victory of the day came at No. 3 singles where Tobias Fanselow defeated Thibaut Charron 6-4, 7-5
