Feb. 26, 2012
RICHMOND, Va. - Old Dominion University men's tennis failed to get untracked as they fell at VCU 7-0. With the loss, ODU drops to 5-8 overall while the Rams improve to 11-2. VCU set the tone of the day by winning all three doubles matches. Alexis Heugas and Antoine Baroz defeated Krzysztof Muzalewski and Fahoum Fahoum at No. 1 while Jaime Vazquez and Alejandro Argente beat Wesley Barrett and Can Cetinel at No. 2, also by an 8-5 score. "We got beat today. We did not have the energy and did not compete the way Monarchs are expected to. We will be better prepared the next time we face VCU," head coach Aljosa Piric said. "We will give our guys a couple days to recoup after a difficult week and get back to practicing hard on Wednesday." ODU failed to win a singles match for just the second time all year. VCU 7 ODU 0
