Corpus Christi, Texas - The 37th ranked Old Dominion University men's tennis team fell to No. 58 New Mexico 4-0 on Saturday as the Monarchs wrapped up the HEB Invitational with a final mark of 1-2. ODU defeated Western Michigan in round one, before falling to Texas A&M - Corpus Christi and New Mexico in the final two rounds.

Against Western Michigan the Monarchs lost the doubles point but rebounded to take four of the six singles matches to secure the 4-3 win. Alex Seleznev (No. 1) and Eidy Igarashi (No. 2) aided in the victory with straight set wins at their respective positions.

In round two versus Texas A&M - Corpus Christi there were no doubles matches played and the Monarchs managed to win just one singles match, a 6-4, 6-4 victory at No. 4 by Rodrigo Souza over Jose Zunino.

The matchup against New Mexico proved to be a struggle as ODU lost the doubles point and three singles matches before play was concluded with the Lobos winning 4-0.

The Monarchs will remain in Texas where they'll take on the Longhorns of Texas on Wednesday and Texas A&M on Thursday.
