#7 VCU Men's Tennis Defeates #55 Old Dominion, 6-1

RICHMOND, Va. - Seventh-ranked Virginia Commonwealth won two doubles matches and five of six singles matches to claim a 6-1 victory over #55 Old Dominion in a Colonial Athletic Association match at the Thalhimer Tennis Center. The Rams improved to 20-3, while the Monarchs dropped to 11-9. Junior Pedro Nieto, ranked #69 in singles in Division I, defeated #12 Izak van der Merwe in #1 singles 6-7, 6-3, 1-0 (10-5). Junior Marton Ott (Budapest, Hungary) took #3 singles 6-2, 6-7, 1-0 (10-8), over the Monarchs Caline Milos. The Monarchs earned the point at No. 2 singles as senior Zoltan Csanadi downed VCU's Arnaud Le Clorec in three sets, 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-6).
