ANN ARBOR, MI -- Old Dominion's doubles entry at the 2003 ITA National Indoor Championship held by the University of Michigan reached the tournament's championship game. Senior Zoltan Csanadi (Timisoara, Romania) and junior Izak van der Merwe (Kempton Park, South Africa) reached the finals, but fell 8-6 to Duke's Ludovic Walker and Jason Zimmerman.

Ranked third in the bracket, Csanadi and van der Merwe were the only seeded team to move past the quarterfinal round. Csanadi and van der Merwe reached the semifinals late Friday night posting an 8-1 decision over Michael Calkins and Chris Martin of Illinois. On Saturday, the Monarch doubles team defeated Bo Hodge and John Isner of Georgia, 8-5, in the semifinals to reach the ITA National Indoor Tournament finale.

Csanadi and van der Merwe reached their third tournament final this fall having the capturing the Old Point Bank Tournament title and reaching the finals of the Virginia Fall Classic. The duo also reached the semifinals of the ITA All-American Tournament and the Round of 16 at the ITA East Region Championships. This fall they have compiled a 14-4 tournament record.
