NORFOLK, Va. - Beginning in the fall of 2012, ODUSports.com and Monarch Media will present a weekly Monarch Spotlight that gives fans a chance to learn more about their favorite student-athletes at Old Dominion.

This week's spotlight is sophomore men's tennis player, Carlos Lopez Villa. A native of Madrid, Spain, Lopez Villa is 8-0 on the year and ranked No. 112 in the country. He is ODU's first ever Conference USA Athlete of the week and has won the honor twice already this season.
