Richmond, Va. - The pairings are set for the 2008 CAA Men's Tennis Championship, which will be held April 17-20 at the Huntington Park Tennis Center in Newport News, Va.

First-round action begins on Thursday afternoon when #7 Delaware takes on #10 George Mason and #8 Hofstra meets #9 Drexel. In Friday's quarterfinals, #3 Old Dominion takes on #6 James Madison at 9 a.m., followed by #2 William and Mary against the Delaware/George Mason winner at 11:30 a.m. At 2 p.m., top-seeded VCU meets the Hofstra/Drexel winner, followed by #4 UNC Wilmington against #5 Georgia State at 3:30 p.m.

The tournament semifinals will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday with the CAA championship match to take place at 10 a.m. on Sunday.

Three different teams have captured the CAA Men's Tennis Championship over the past three years, with William and Mary winning in 2005, VCU taking home its 10th title in 11 years in 2006 and Georgia State claiming its first CAA crown in 2007. Old Dominion hasn't won the CAA title since 1994, but has played in the championship match in three of the past four years.

The CAA has an outstanding tradition in men's tennis, with a league-record four teams (Georgia State, Old Dominion, VCU and William & Mary) making the NCAA Tournament field a year ago. This season, VCU is ranked #26 nationally and William and Mary is ranked #57.
