NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University assistant men's tennis coach, Dom Manilla, has accepted a position to be a coach at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy (NY).

Manilla, a 2007 graduate of ODU, will be in charge of the traveling teams as well as instruction to 12-18 year olds.

"Dom has contributed greatly to our tennis program as a coach and player. From day one he has been very passionate about the ODU tennis program and athletic department," ODU head tennis coach Darryl Cummings said. "He will be missed in the community and within our program. It is a great reflection of his development and our tennis program that he has been selected as a coach for the John McEnroe Tennis Academy."

A native of Charlottesville, Va., Manilla joins tennis great John McEnroe and Gilad Bloom, a 13-year member of the pro tour, at the academy.
