2009-10: Redshirted but wrestled several events unattached...Won the 133-pound bracket at the Hokie Open, UNC Pembroke Open, UNO Open and the Mat Town Invitational...Took third place at The Midlands(Northwestern)...Finished the year 25-1, with a win over NCAA qualifier John Trumbetti (Lock Haven)...Only loss of the year was a 5-3 decision to Wisconsin's Tyler Graff, who finished fifth at the NCAA Championships.
