FAIRFAX, VA- The Old Dominion wrestling team dropped both opening day matches at the second annual Colonial Athletic Association Duals, in Fairfax, VA. ODU falls to 1-4 for the season in duals action. The Monarchs were defeated by Drexel 25-19 in Round 1 and lost to #23 Rider 39-6 in the second round. In the first round against Drexel, Chris Buckner (Chesapeake, VA) defeated Joe Cristaldi 12-6 in the 133 weight class, Jesse Pearce (Norfolk, VA) won by tech. fall over John Niedrich at 157, John Adams (Chesapeake, VA) won a 4-0 decision over Steve Beard at 165, Adam Wright (Dayton, VA) took the 14-2 major decision against Pat Shufelt and Derrell Lorthridge (Wilmington, DE) defeated Albert Shenko 8-0 in the Heavyweight class.

The CAA Duals continue Saturday, when ODU takes on Sacred Heart, Boston University and Binghamton.
