ST. LOUIS, MO  -Christian Staylor (Chesapeake, VA/Great Bridge/125) and Adam Wright (Dayton, VA/Turner Ashby/184) both dropped opening round matches Thursday at the NCAA Tournament, held at the Savvis Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

Christian Staylor dropped a 15-2 major decision to #9 seed Coleman Scott of Oklahoma State, while Adam Wright dropped a close 6-5 decision to #5 seed Brian Glynn of Illinois. In consolation action, Staylor will face Brandon Strong of the Air Force Academy, while Wright faces Frank Cornelly of Duke.

The NCAA Tournament runs through Saturday.
