Freshman wrestler Adam Wright (Bridgewater, VA) was named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) co-Rookie of the Week for the week ending February 9th. This is the second time this year Wright, who wa. s a perfect 3-0 last week, has won the award. He was also chosen for the honor back on January 14th.

Wright, who is ranked fourth in the conference at 184 pounds, improved his team-high win total to 23 with his three dual wins. He won both of his CAA matches against Campbell and Drexel, and earned his third fall this season on Sunday against state-rival UVA. He also has a team-best 11 decisions and six major decisions to go with his 23-6 mark. He is 11-2 in dual contests with a 5-1 CAA record.

Zach Machovsky from Drexel won the award along with Wright after his 9-8 upset win over ODU's John Starkes (Chesapeake, VA) at 125 pounds. He is 6-0 in conference action.

The Monarchs (5-8/2-4) are currently ranked sixth in the CAA after their 1-2 week. Joining Wright among the ranked in the conference are Starkes, senior Ben Summerlin (Lynchburg, VA) and junior Derrell Lorthridge (Wilmington, DE). Starkes is fourth at 125 with a 8-7 mark, while Summerlin is third at 174 and is 21-3 on the year, 10-2 in dual action. Lorthridge comes in at second in the heavyweight class and carries a 22-5 mark this year.

ODU will be action on Saturday at the University of Maryland at 2:00 p.m.
